hello!!! i am doc. i am 29 (and have been for a number of years 😉 ). 21+ only. nsfw tagged as such. this blog is for ELWOOD BLUES of THE BLUES BROTHERS that is multi-ship & verse. crossover friendly. all triggers will be tagged in the following format: ‘blood tw’.

reasons i might not follow back:

you don’t have your age clearly stated on your blog anywhere.

you don’t cut your posts ever.

other than that, i’m super fucking chill. rp is a hobby. i am a VERY busy human with a full time job, a child, a husband, and TWO college courses in progress at any given time.

i have adhd and austism and sometimes hyperfocus on a muse or on a thread or two. it doesn’t mean i don’t want to write with you!

please do not:

repeatedly ask if i’ve seen your reply or tell me to reply.

talk to me about politics.

my triggers:

broken teeth and any mention of dentists.

home invasions.

BE KIND TO YOURSELVES AND OTHERS!!!

He never knew a home aside from Rock Island City Orphanage. The closest thing to a mother was the penguin and she was a nightmare. The days were filled with holy threats and warnings that sin will find you out, Elwood.

Troubled by the two different colors of his eyes, Elwood sought answers from the penguin.

Sin will find you out.

No matter that he had been born that way. He was nothing more than a sinner. The penguin made sure he knew that.

The days were long and arduous. Rulers smacking hands until they were red, schoolwork and scripture filled blank pages full as the sun rose high in the sky.

But at night… oh, at night! The cool air of the basement was a welcome feeling as Curtis played them the blues, taught them the songs, the lyrics, the soul of it all.

Curtis was the one who gave Elwood his first harmonica, which he took to immediately. Elwood had always been very quiet as a child, but the harmonica gave him the voice he was lacking, the confidence he needed, and he was never the same from there on out, though he remained a man of few words.

He and his older brother Jake were going to be the next big thing in the blues world. They would make sure of it. They became The Blues Brothers in that dirty, old basement of the orphanage on the night Jake brought in an E string said to have come from Elmore James’ guitar and sliced Elwood’s middle finger, then his own, sealing their promise that they’d hit it big one day. Together.

SO GLAD YA MADE IT!
